How do I create an account?
Click the "Sign Up" button in the top right corner. Choose whether you're a General Contractor or Subcontractor, then fill out your information. You'll receive a verification email to activate your account. After email verification, you'll need to provide business documentation for full platform access.
What documentation is required for verification?
You'll need active state license information, proof of insurance (General Liability and Workers' Compensation), and business entity details (EIN, incorporation documents). Verification typically takes 24-48 business hours. Our team will reach out if additional documentation is needed.
How does the escrow wallet work?
Funds are deposited into a project-specific wallet held by our regulated banking partner. These funds are legally segregated and can only be released when specific milestone conditions are met (such as signed lien waivers). This protects both parties: GCs know funds are available, and Subs have assurance they'll be paid upon completion.
Are the lien waivers legally binding?
Yes. Our platform generates statutory lien waivers compliant with applicable state requirements in real-time. The digital signatures are verified and audit-logged, making them fully enforceable. Each waiver includes timestamps, IP addresses, and cryptographic signatures for maximum legal protection.
Can I switch between account types?
Yes, but you'll need to contact support to enable "Dual Role" capabilities on your account. This ensures compliance tracking works correctly for both sides and that your projects are properly categorized. Email support@fabric.build to request dual role access.
